Courage is your new Middle name

Please pat yourself on the back! You have displayed extraordinary courage just by reading these Blog posts, and hopefully the book, and daring to think outside the box for yourself – to think of yourself as a Millionaire.

We are so programmed to move through our daily lives without thinking much about doing the things we do. In his book Outwitting the Devil, Napoleon Hill describes this as Hypnotic Rhythm. We develop a daily routine through which we pretty much glide each and every day.

It’s important for us to recognize that we all do this to more efficiently live our lives. What we need to do is observe ourselves doing this and ask ourselves “Is this what I want to be doing with most of my time?” “Is what I’m doing every day leading me to where I want to go?” If not, then we have to take the steps necessary to change the automatic actions of our daily routine. That’s the reason for reading your Million-Dollar 3×5 ticket to yourself in the mirror every morning and every night. (See Chapter Three of The Student Millionaire – The Goal, or Blog post #3 – How long will it take me to become a Millionaire?)

By doing this, you start to change the way you think about yourself, about wealth and about being a Millionaire. You start getting ideas, meeting people and thinking about how to put all this together for yourself. This new way of thinking prompts you to take action in the direction of your goal – your Million-Dollar target – and thus changes the Hypnotic Rhythm in your life to a new Hypnotic Rhythm more attuned to empowering you to attain your goal. Pretty cool.

It’s all about being aware of what’s around you and being aware of what’s going on inside of you. It’s like stepping out of your skin and observing yourself thinking the thoughts that you think and doing the things that you do. If you’re happy with these things and you feel they are leading you to where you want to go, great. If not, you have the power to choose differently and make the changes in your life that you want, and let them become your new routine – your new Hypnotic Rhythm of success.

In another Blog post, I’ll address your need for courage to overcome the negative thoughts, fears and doubts that will inevitably bubble up inside of you in the course of your becoming a Millionaire. It’s normal, it’s natural and you can easily deal with them. We’ll also go over the negative feedback you may get from family and friends.

Until next time,
